Motorhome Split Chargers Fitting

As well as our motorhome leisure battery fitting service, we also supply and fit split chargers for motorhomes.

Split chargers are used to combine 2 battery banks, typically a leisure battery or habitation battery, and an engine starter battery. A split charger simultaneously charges both the starter battery and the leisure battery from a common charging source, such as the vehicle alternator.

A split charger includes a device to ensure that leisure and starter batteries are only connected whilst a charging source is operating. This ensures that one battery does not draw from and drain the other.
